HD VIDEO: Canon 5D MK II The Canon EOS 5D Mark II is a 21.1 megapixel full-frame CMOS digital single-lens reflex camera made by Canon and released in September 17th of 2008. Before the release of Canon's 5D MKII and more recently the 7D, single-lens reflex cameras were not an option for the serious videographer. However, the 5D's full-frame CMOS sensor captures video with a brilliance of High Definition at 24 frames per second - giving this breed of DSLR the ability to capture video with a resolution and look that gives film a run for its money. The 5D MK II was the first digital camera used for the official presidential portrait.
